About
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Amy was initially drawn to the world of publishing as an advertising associate for magazines such as Glamour and Fortune but soon realized that what she craved was a much more visceral connection to her work and an opportunity to nourish and delight others through food. After working in the New York restaurant scene for the past 12 years in restaurants such as Jean Georges, Upland, and west~bourne, she’s exploring the foods and flavors that move her palate and hopes to share it with others.
Amy’s culinary inspiration draws from her Korean American upbringing, traveling the world while cooking, seasonality, and her love for cultural diversity. Amy strives to bring an everyday rapture to what you crave, how you care for your community, and why a collective impact matters.
In addition to being an experienced restaurant chef, her leadership in both the kitchen and restaurant operations makes her a well-rounded leader that focuses on holistic teaching, and bringing consistency and quality in the team cultures she helps cultivate. She is a motivational coach when it comes to on the job training, and her greatest attribute is her ability to share her love of cooking with those around her.
